Authors Note: The list of sources and publications used by the writer while preparing this story is lengthy and will not be published here. I will add an afterword and an acknowledgement to my co-writers and editor once we again are on speaking terms. Related, it might be best to mention where the original idea came from and to mention the folks who helped to mold the first skimpy thought into the short volume above, but my lawyers say I shouldn't talk about it, there being a lawsuit involved and all. Jeff's originally from New York. If you believe what you read. He's lived in Philadelphia, Boston, Boulder and on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. Has this changed him? What would Darwin say?
